It has been a while since I posted anything. I keep meaning to post and have lots to write about, but then I wonder where I should start. Back in the summer where I left off, or from where we are now, or somewhere in between? Well, it’s NaBloPoMo this month and it seems as good a time as any to start writing things again. So I’ll try to post something every day but make no guarantees.
But at least I will post something again.
I’ll start off easy, here are the kids last night for Halloween. We went out with a friend and her daughter. Meredith and the daughter get along really well and they had a lot of fun running around. Though there weren’t a lot of other trick-or-treaters around. I think maybe next year we’ll check out one of the events instead: a bonfire maybe.
Meredith decided back in September that she wanted to be Little Red Riding Hood and Fiona should be the wolf.
The cape is handmade by my mom. I’d like to make both costumes eventually but Meredith kept changing her mind and I didn’t want to commit to anything before she’d decided for sure, so didn’t have a lot of time. I didn’t get a fantastic picture of them together unfortunately.
We also carved pumpkins to put at the end of our driveway, even though we were pretty certain no one would come trick or treating around here because of the size of the properties. The pumpkins themselves were fun to do though. Meredith carved hers mostly on her own, I just helped with the mouth/teeth.

Wow, the girls look great! So sad though that trick-or-treating isn’t a big thing anymore. We only saw 4 kids out here.
Thanks Natalie! It is too bad about trick-or-treating but there are definitely other fun traditions we can move on to instead.
