The blog overhaul I started in September is ongoing, albeit very slowly. I finally got around to adding links to an rss feed for specific categories. On the right, you can see you can subscribe to the whole blog, or just subscribe to “living and learning” (which is basically most of the blog), homesteading (where I’ll talk about our new house, our move, steps we take to self-sufficiency, renovations, etc.), and food (recipes, food thoughts, meal plans, etc).
I still have some things I want to do, but other things in life take priority. I did want to point out the new categories though for anyone who might be interested.

I like that this category is “miscellaneous rambling.” That should probably be the tag for most of my posts ;o). To answer your question, we’ve been in our new place since the beginning of Sept. I LOVE having a fireplace. We have one in the finished part of the basement as well, although it is quite shallow. I’m thinking a wood stove insert would be perfect there! Best wishes on your move!
…what is an RSS and should I have one? I use Google reader to follow blogs – what’s the difference/similarities? Also, your link for “blogs that inspire me” doesn’t seem to be working
Jen, Google Reader reads rss feeds and you have one automatically with WordPress. (Just add /feed after your blog address and you’ll see it.) It’s how people subscribe to blogs in email, readers, etc.
