Fiona took her first step the other day, on her nine-month birthday! I tried to get a picture of her standing/stepping, but she just wanted to crawl back to me and see the camera so you’ll have to use your imagination. I’ll have to take a video with the iPhone at some point, since we seem to have misplaced our camera with video capabilities somewhere. (Click to see it bigger.)

Congrats on your latest milestone, Fiona!
Aw, what a sweet and fun milestone! And so early — at least compared to my girls. Watch out, world!
Well done Fiona! Such a beautiful picture of her too!
What a lovely girl and a lovely moment.
Visiting from Natural Parents Network!
Thanks all.
Kristin, she’s early compared to her big sister too. She actually crawled and started cruising a little later than Meredith, but she is way more motivated to walk. Meredith had very little interest in it.
Woo hoo! Isaac took one step at 13 months and then didn’t walk again until he was 15 1/2 months old. But, he never toddled, never fell. It’s as though he waited until he knew he could do it, and do it well.
Congrats Fiona. Such an exciting new time in all your lives. xo
Awesome! That is so exciting!
